“Hah? What’s with ya’all, already done eatin’ lunch? Then I’m gonna be eatin’ alone today?” Nine said, and Ace shrugged his shoulders at him.

“So you’re feeling lonely, Nine? Then I’ll keep you company.”

“…The hell?! It’s not like I’m lonely or anything!”

Glancing at the exchange between those two, Queen and the rest left the cafeteria.

I finally found the “Ace going back to being a spoiled child” scene KajiKaji mentioned in his interview! Ace was really cute here, it was as though someone gave him a rainbow pill and he subsequently vomited sparkles.

Arecia: Okay, you’re good to go now. Looks like there’s nothing wrong with you.
Arecia: How are you feeling?
Ace: Not bad.
Arecia: Have all of you gotten used to the Peristylium?
Ace: *rubs nose in an embarrassed manner* It’s been going well. That’s what I think.
Ace: The reports go to you too, Mother.
Arecia: Well, if I don’t hear that kind of thing from you directly, I won’t know.
Ace: Even though we were recommended to be student cadets?
Arecia: You don’t have to worry about that.
Arecia: It’s only normal for mothers to be concerned for their children’s well-being.
Arecia: It’s fine if you want to participate in missions you have chosen…
Arecia: But do drop by and show your face once in a while.
Ace: You can say that, Mother, but aren’t you busy with your work in the magic department as well?
Arecia: Well, that’s the usual thing, but I will always free up some time to meet up with all of you.
Ace: Yes, yes.

Arecia’s a nice woman, but seeing how she has seen Class Zero turn into l’Cie and die 600,104,971 times due to that stable time loop… @_@;;; (Cater’s the only one feeling the deja vu, strangely.) I mentioned this before, but that’s why if you turn them into l’Cie it’ll lead to the game’s bad ending. If you let them remain as humans, then in this 600,104,972nd cycle, you’re making them break this time loop which causes their fates to change slightly and the path leads to the true ending.

So I guess Class Zero has not made a single appearance until the day Byakko invaded Suzaku, because if you run around and talk to other students, they will be like, “Class Zero?! You do exist?!” That makes the whole Ace-reading-the-prophecy in the intro/warera kitareri part more impressive. And that was also probably when Class Zero finally go to school in the Peristylium (having been under Arecia’s care the whole time) and made into student cadets/kouhosei, which was why Arecia’s asking Ace how they have all been doing, and how he shouldn’t be too concerned about her worrying over them. XD;;

And I have to give credit to KajiKaji for having to record this scene over and over again until the director was satisfied. Maybe it’s my Kaji/Hope/Ace bias, but you can really sense the happiness in Ace’s voice, his smiles as he talks, and his childish, “Hai, hai.” ahhh.

Ace’s second dream of Izana. I wanna delete the photos off my phone, so here:

Izana: Hey. We meet again.
Ace: Did you manage to meet your younger brother today?
Izana: Yeah.
Ace: That’s a rather gloomy look on your face. Did you two have a fight or something?
Izana: You could tell, huh.
Ace: You brothers don’t get along well?
Izana: Siblings have always been annoying towards one another.
Izana: There are times where you just want to really punch them in the gut.
Ace: Somehow, isn’t what you’re saying now totally different from last time?
Izana: Nah, didn’t I tell you? Siblings can have rather uncool relationships with one another.
Ace: I see. It’s definitely uncool to have sibling fights when you’re at this age. (AND HE SAYS THIS WITH A STRAIGHT FACE ACE WHY SO BRUTAL)
Izana: …….I’m just a lowly soldier in the military. My younger brother is an elite student candidate. We have different ways of thinking.
Ace: Are you jealous of your younger brother?
Izana: Nah, no matter how you see it, I’m the pathetic one.
Izana: I want to tell my younger brother, “Get more military gains. (promotions?)”
Izana: “I thought that I’d want to make you proud but…”
Izana: “Your big bro is a prideful person himself.”
Ace: …….
Ace: …….We’re going to sortie very soon.
Izana: ?
Ace: If we ask for your help, would you lend a hand?
Izana: You’re a student candidate, aren’t you?
Izana: The student candidates support the military and its top ranks.
Izana: Such talk (orders) will not come to someone of my rank.
Ace: But if it does come to you, will you fight?
Izana: Do you intend to bless me with a chance?
Ace: I don’t exactly mean it that way.
Ace: Assuming it’s just us, it looks like the first strategy is to have the people we know and the Classes.
Izana: …..Whether such a chance will come to me or not…
Izana: I’ll be only fighting for the sake of Suzaku’s future and my younger brother’s.
Izana: I will wager everything on it.
Ace: I see.
Ace: …Make sure you mend your ties with your younger brother soon.
Ace: It’s this kind of period, after all. You don’t know when your last moment will be.
Izana: Even if I know, we can’t just mend our ties like that. We have our stubbornness.
Izana: That’s how brothers are.

And then he walks away, leading Ace to wake up from his dream and then this scene. Gawd Kunagiri Kyoudai are so stubborn b-but I hope they did make up before Izana dies T_T;;

So uh, from what I could understand from this conversation, it does seem Izana is a little jealous that he’s a lowly soldier whereas Machina is an elite student candidate, despite him not saying it? The talk on pride confused me a bit, but I guess even though Izana wants to make Machina proud of him, he has his own ambitions…?

As for the strategy thing Ace mentioned, at first I was ??? but it makes sense for someone to go out to battle with people they know and whom they can rely on, and since the student candidates are “elites”, I guess that’s why they’d bring out all the Classes. Not too sure if Izana going out to battle is really due to knowing a Class Zero student and/or “being given a chance” or not, but I could see that baldy Suzaku congress guy brainwashing Machina with that excuse, which is why Machina doesn’t trust Class Zero…

I was bored on Saturday while folding the laundry and I had my phone next to me, so I tried playing around with the Ace Twitter bot lol. For those of you who have never played with Twitter bots, they have a set of keywords which you can tweet to them and they will respond to you. I probably used a lot of terrible Japanese since I have no confidence in my grammar, but I decided to start a conversation by linking the keywords XD;; (The whole set of keywords can be found here.) I started off with the “choboco” keyword.

Me: Chocobos are nice, right?
Ace: Chocobos…!
Me: Ace-kun, you like Chocobos, don’t you?
Ace: …Wha…what’s with that, all of a sudden? ….Thank you.

Note: I used “suki” for “like”, but I guess he was programmed to respond to “like” as though it was a confession, “I like you!” or something.

Me: Ace-kun, you’re too cute~
Ace: Hmm….
Me: Yoshi yoshi~ <—- kinda like a ruffling-his-hair action
Ace: Darnit… even though I’m not at that age for you to do this kind of thing to me…!
Me: You’re really cute huh~
Ace: …Quiet!
Me: *HUUUUUUUG*
Ace: I-it… hurts…
Me: Ah…! Sorry.
Ace: Hm? It’s not like I actually mind.

Ace: Nurul, we’re in the middle of a battle. Leave it for later.

Giga Burst is when he draws out four red cards in battle, which… can be a rare thing, even with Attack Deck equipped. I only managed it once. (Actually I could’ve done it twice if not for one Aquapurin knocking Ace aside just as he was about to do the Giga Burst thing, causing him to lose all the cards which were drawn. I was so pissed that I immediately made Ace do a Tri-Laser on that Aquapurin at point-blank.) I wasn’t too sure how to respond to his GIGA BURST! thing, so I searched the keywords and decided to use “EESU—-!”, you know, when Izana was screaming EEEESUUUUU. I guess it was the wrong keyword to pick. Continuing on~

Me: ….Alright. When you come back, let’s sleep together.
Ace: Welcome back, Nurul. You did well today too.

Actually I saw the “let’s sleep together” keyword and was like TEEHEEHEE but I think he responded to a “come back” keyword or something >_>

Me: Even though it’s almost evening, it’s pretty hot…
Ace: Yeah… it is hot. I feel like using Blizzard or something. (At this point, I had a DDDD: look on my face)
Me: You can’t do that!!! The bath! It’s better to get into the bath! (to cool down)
Ace: Eh?
Me: But you see, Blizzard’s pretty dangerous, isn’t it? Aaaaaah I’m already sleepy.
Ace: I have to endure my sleepiness, so don’t say things like that…

…ok I felt bad whining about being sleepy here darn you Ace lemme use the “let’s sleep together” keyword on you again

Me: Really? That aside, let’s get into the bed and sleep together?
Ace: I decline. When I want to rest, I’d like to do it alone and at my own pace.

I was ready to flip tables at him, actually XD;; YOU ARE NOT RESPONDING CORRECTLY TO MY OTOMEGOKORO

Me: That’s too bad ~~for me~~ huh. Then, I’ll sleep earlier. Good night.
Ace: Good night, Nurul. It seems we’ll have to get up early since there’s a mission tomorrow as well, so sleep earlier, okay?

But you wouldn’t sleep together. ;_; I realized I had yet to use the “pants” keyword, so.

Me: Alright. Ah, that’s right. Before I sleep, give me a pair of pants?
Ace: ……………..WHAT?!
Me: I’m kidding, don’t get so worked up. Take care of yourself during missions.
Ace: Sorry, I’ll listen to your conversation later!

I think he probably responded to “mission” or something. Anyway I have no idea what to say after that and I needed to concentrate on the laundry so I stopped.

Conclusion: Ace bot is very bad at flirting; he would put his duties first lol. I haven’t followed the other bots, I might actually try flirting with the Jack bot; maybe it has better responses like AoEx’s Okumura twins XD
